Greening Our Cities for a Better Future

SOIL - LARGE BORE

The LB Sampler soil sampling probes are a solid barrel, piston-sealed, direct push device for collecting discrete interval samples of unconsolidated materials at depth. The soil sampling probes are approximately 30 in. (762 mm) long and has a 1.5 in. (38 mm) OD. The LB Sampler is capable of recovering a discrete sample core 22 in. long x 1.0 in. diameter (559 mm x 25 mm) contained inside a removable liner. Sample volume measures up to 283 mL.

The liner is a removable / replaceable thin-walled tube that fits inside the LB sample tube. Liners facilitate retrieval of the sample and may be used for storage when applicable. All this without generating any drill cuttings! In today's marketplace it is primarily used for manual sampling applications.

Key Features

  • No drill cuttings are generated
  • Primarily used for manual sampling applications
  • Capable of recovering a discrete sample core

SOIL - MACRO CORE

The MC5 Soil Sampling System is a single tube, discrete or continuous core sampler system with unmatched durability.

The MC5 1.25 in. Center Rod System was designed for the absolute worst of the worst direct push soil sampling conditions.

Key Features

  • Robust Thread Design
  • Discrete & Continuous Soil Sampling
  • Quick Operation (no stop-pins required)

SOIL - DUAL TUBE DT22

Geoprobe® brand Dual Tube Sampling Systems are efficient methods of collecting continuous soil cores with the added benefit of a cased hole.

Key Features

  • Uses 2.25 in probe rods as outer casing
  • Uses 1.25 in. Light Weight Center Rods for core extraction
  • Collect continuous soil cores through a cased probe hole confirming the security of the sample from cross contamination
  • Optional expendable cutting shoe for use when setting prepack monitoring wells
  • Optional SP22 Groundwater Sampler used in conjunction with DT22

VAPOR IMPLANTS

GROUNDWATER SAMPLE SP-16

Vapor implants are constructed of double woven stainless steel wire screen or ceramic porous material. All end fittings are stainless steel as well. Implants are available in 6-in.  lengths to 1-in in length.

Permanent Soil Vapor Probe Implants Advantages...

  • Placed through bore after rods have been driven to depth.
  • Variety of implant lengths to suit the application.
  • Designed to fit a wide array of tubing materials and sizes.
  • Can be set at any depth attainable by soil probe (100+ ft. [30 m]).
  • Convenient and inexpensive devices for both long-term soil gas monitoring, air sparging, and groundwater sampling.
  • For use with 5/8-in. and 1/2-in. ID rods.

GROUNDWATER SAMPLE SP-16

GROUNDWATER SAMPLE SP-16

The SP16 Groundwater Samplers are used to collect groundwater samples from unconsolidated materials at depths ranging from near ground surface to over 100 feet below grade. The depth that can be reached with SP16 water sampling equipment is a function of the equipment and methods being used to advance the sampler (manual, static vehicle weight, or percussion probing), the formation being penetrated, and operator experience.

SP16 Advantages:

  • Completely sealed during driving
  • Stainless steel or PVC screen
  • Actual interface samples
  • 41-in. exposed screen length
  • Fast recharge from formation
  • Samples recovered using Tubing Check Valve, Mini-bailer or 0.5 in. Bladder Pump
  • Durable Drive Head and Corrosion Resistant Sampler Sheath
  • Sample both dissolved compounds and NAPLs
  • Built to withstand percussive probing
  • Screen sheath forms mechanical annular seal above the screen while sampling
